Origin Story

How did we get the name Seven and Dead? The year was 2011. A small group of brothers and friends were getting their FPS feet wet in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Not really paying much attention to achievements, we progressed through the game and began to find our own groove as players. One of this crew began to hunt for those missing pins to round off his collection and put the proverbial check-in-the-box for this game before moving on. Yet one pin evaded him...

Combat Excellence Pin (In a round, reach a kill streak of 8)...

The attempts piled up. Over and over again. Solo. With his team. It seemed an unreachable feat. The frustration boiled over on many occasions. Yelling and screaming ensued.
"Ok, guys. I've got seven. Let's find me that eighth..."
"ON YOUR SIX!"
"Noooo! Dammit! This always happens! Seven and dead! Seven....and....deeeaad! Why can't I get eight!? AAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

...A calm came over the room. The stars aligned and Mt. Dew and Fudge Rounds fell from the heavens. Seven and Dead was born.
